A wife threatened to leave her husband on the day they celebrated their wedding anniversary after finding a love note left on his car.
The un-named man, from Australia, took to social media to share images of the suspicious note which he said ruined their day.
He begged the author of the incriminating note to own up and come forward to set the record straight with his distraught wife.
The note read: ““I didn’t/couldn’t see you. I hope you had a great day. We had to go — the kids were done lol. I’ll call you tomorrow. C.”
He continued in his post to say how his first wedding anniversary had been ruined, captioning the image: “To whoever left this note on my car at the scone wash pools yesterday afternoon.
“Hope you have a bed handy for me. It was our first wedding anniversary.
“My wife left me over this note, So ‘C’ if you’re out there. Let me know. So we can clear this up.”
The note was penned by a woman called ‘c’ and signed with a love heart doodle

Many social media users were quick to comment on his tricky position.
Some people cruelly branded the woman a “psycho” wife for leaving him over the note, while others offered innocent explanations for what might have caused the mix-up.
One said: “Honestly, to me, it looks like a note that one woman left for another woman.. like as if two friends took their kids to the wash pools, one friends kids got tired and she couldn’t find her friend to say she was leaving,”
Another suggested: “So she left her a note so she knew where they were and just put it on wrong car.”

However, in a twist to the tale – the note writer later came forward, clearing up the messy predicament.
The husband added: “My wife and I and the note writer had a chat and it’s all sorted. The writer had a case of mistaken cars,” he explained. “Thanks everyone for your kind words. My wife has not left me and is not psycho.”
The wife later commented: “Wife here, Still happily married. I am not a crazy short-tempered psycho. Was not looking for a way out.”
